The idea

What if the grid invited you to play?

Poster, Please began with a familiar designer's tool: the grid. Instead of treating structure as something rigid or technical, I wanted to turn it into a creative starting point that anyone could explore.

The tool gives people enough control to make a poster feel personal without asking them to master professional layout software first. Type, colour, distortion and geometry can all be pushed around while the underlying system keeps the composition intentional.

The first user test revealed the most useful truth immediately: one composition was not enough. That feedback shaped the next iteration, expanding Poster, Please from a single visual trick into a growing family of poster systems.

Design principles

Good grids. Questionable behaviour.

01 · Structure

The grid keeps things civil while the ideas get weird.

02 · Play

Warp it. Move it. Make the grid question its life choices.

03 · Access

Made for curious humans. Design degree entirely optional.

The experience

Choose a system.
Push the grid.
Export the result.

Poster, Please keeps the poster live while every control changes around it. People can begin with a composition, customise the type and structure, introduce distortion or geometric elements, then save the finished result as an image.

  • Signal and Block poster systems
  • Custom type, grid and movable shape controls
  • Six palettes with light and dark modes
  • A3, square and story exports
